Seeds of Service
Sowing Seeds of Service in Our Community

We believe in helping our communities grow not only through our banking services and philanthropic giving, but also through volunteerism. American Savings Bank’s Seeds of Service program was launched in 2005 to celebrate the bank’s 80th anniversary. The program has since been adopted as an annual bank-wide initiative that encourages employees to volunteer with local schools or community organizations. Employees have assisted with various projects ranging from landscaping and cleaning to serving meals at a shelter. Since 2005, our Seeds of Service initiative has contributed over 7,800 total volunteer hours to schools and non-profit organizations on Oahu, Hawaii Island, Maui, Molokai, and Kauai.
